Environment and Facilities
The school grounds occupy 23,500m2 and are located very close to the Collserola mountain range, surrounded by nature and with unbeatable views of the city and the surrounding area.
In addition, due to our location we enjoy good air quality, which is especially important for children, one of the groups who are most sensitive to air pollution.
We take advantage of the proximity to Parc de l’Oreneta and Collserola Natural Park to discover and put into practice concepts worked on in class.
Aula is in a natural environment, bordering the Parc de l’Oreneta and Collserola
The school has three separate buildings (Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary School and Baccalaureate), with a variety of flexible spaces, which can be adapted to the needs of students and teachers.
Classrooms
All classrooms have natural light and are equipped according to the age and needs of the students.
For example, in Kindergarten all the classes have large windows and their own outdoor space (private terrace). In addition, each level of the Kindergarten has its own playground.
Specialty rooms
We have rooms designed specifically for learning different subjects such as visual arts, music, drama, computational thinking and Philia class (social-personal skills). In the Secondary school building there is a creative workshop (with 3D printer, laser cutter, sewing machine, etc.).
Laboratories
In the Secondary school building there are 3 science laboratories fully equipped for scientific learning.
Kitchens and dining areas
The school has two kitchens that serve the dining areas of the three buildings.
Media library
Aula has two media library spaces in the Primary School and Secondary School buildings where students have access to books, audiovisual material and magazines and newspapers in the four school languages.
Seminars
Multipurpose spaces where students can study, read, use digital tools and do group work.
Auditoriums
Three auditoriums in the Primary and Secondary school buildings where students can listen to lectures and perform presentations, concerts and theatre plays.
Outdoor spaces
Each building has suitable and differentiated outdoor spaces according to the age and needs of the student. These spaces serve various functions: play area, sports activities and also allow classes to be held outdoors. The school also has two orchards managed by the students.
Sports areas
There is also a sports hall for students which covers more than 2,000 m2, outdoor courts and a fitness room.
